Micheál O’Sullivan is a Director and Senior Environmental Scientist at OSM Environmental Consulting, specialising in Waste Management and Flood Risk Assessment.

Micheál graduated from Ulster University in 2010 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science and a Diploma in Industrial Studies. His career combines both private and public sector experience, having worked with NIEA as a Trace Analyst and Scientific Officer, as well as several years’ experience in private sector consulting. He has chosen to combine his significant regulatory experience and connections with his commercial consulting skills, co-founding OSM Environmental Consulting in 2016 with colleague, Frank Macfarlane.

Micheál excelled in project management across Northern Ireland, the UK and Ireland and has led works on large projects such as landfill construction, flood risk assessment and permit applications. His expertise and regulatory background have enabled the completion of many high-profile schemes, from private landfill sites to prominent housing developments.

In his daily work, Micheál handles all things related to Floods Risk and Waste Management, as well as mentoring OSM Environmental Consulting’s junior staff members.

Micheál is a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Wastes Management.
